The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing accounting, financial, and analytical support, focusing on monthly financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end activities.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial results for management.
  • Assist with preparation of annual and quarterly financial reporting and analysis for management.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
  • Assist in cash flow analysis and projections.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis on financial metrics.
  • Assist with year-end activities including preparation of supporting documentation, analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Responsible for Partner accounting and administration such as but not limited to preparing & maintaining Partners’ bi-monthly pay distribution files, maintaining Partners’ master data and supporting documents, and distributing Partners’ tax slips and ACB slips, etc.
  • Prepare and coordinate Partners’ capital calls with the bank and accounting team and update related records, reconciliations and supporting documents.
  • Calculate retired Partner / Counsel compensation and related analysis & reporting.
  • Implement and maintain strong controls to ensure accurate modeling, analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities for improved reporting, analytics and accounting processes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned within the nature and level of the job.

Knowledge & Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting / budgeting / forecasting / analytical & reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or MBA is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Experience with building and maintaining financial models and charts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent self-management skills, prioritization, and project balancing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex data to stakeholders.
