Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Land Development you will be responsible assisting with various planning and design development approvals, while managing the consulting team, preparing, and maintaining budgeting and project schedules along with other deliverables, and heavily supporting the Land Development team.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with various development approvals including planning approvals, design development, and liaison during construction
- Liaise between all stakeholders, including consulting team, internal departments, government agencies and other developers as part of general project coordination
- Manage and review consultant proposal to build consulting team for development projects
- Provide input on technical reports, drawings, and other consultant deliverables with a keen attention on grading and servicing feasibility
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, filing, meeting minutes, financial reporting and other project reporting as required
- Assist with due diligence investigations on new acquisitions
- Stay current on new industry technologies and trends and municipal standards
- Help build industry and market presence and awareness
What You Bring :
- Post-Secondary Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or Real Estate / Business or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in the real estate development industry and / or related practical experience
- An understanding and / or keen interest for of planning policies, regulations, and approvals processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective research, organizational and problems solving skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Experience with AutoCAD and / or GIS would be considered a benefit
- A valid G’ licence and access to your own vehicle is required
