ABOUT THE ROLE

In a typical day, as a Jr. Investment & Operations Analyst, you will undertake a variety of tasks, including conducting comprehensive research, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support investment decisions.

Additionally, you will also play a pivotal role in carrying out operational responsibilities, optimizing processes for efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

This role will challenge your problem-solving, analytical, time management, critical thinking, and even creative design skills.

As a successful candidate, you must be independent, resilient, adaptable, and eager to learn.

This a full-time permanent position offering flexibility as a hybrid role, with the requirement to work in the Toronto, Ontario office 4 days a week.

WE WILL TRUST YOU TO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of companies, industries, financial markets and prepare proposals, reports, presentations and memos for senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate macroeconomic factors, market trends, regulatory development, industry reports and financial statements to identify risks, impact, and opportunities.
• Deliver regular portfolio performance report and client reports highlighting key insights such as performance indicators against benchmarks and targets.
• Manage client onboarding process, ensuring smooth transition and successful implementation of the company’s products and services.
• Fostering strong and nurturing relationship with clients and stakeholders, understanding their business needs, goals, and objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product development, and support teams to align efforts, share insights, and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Assist in developing and executing go-to-marketing strategy for in-house and external products.
• Evaluate ongoing business performance against growth targets to support daily operations.
• Undertake additional ad hoc assignments and duties as assigned.

YOU WILL NEED TO BE / BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, in the mining / geology, investment or finance.
• Proficient knowledge and interest in mining, financial market, and investment products are a must.
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at articulating complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and drive resolutions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport, communicate effectively, and establish trust.
• Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Adept with software and application (Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, Adobe etc.), technology, and analytic tools and database (Bloomberg, Morningstar, Canva), with a desire for continuous learning.
• Experience working in a SaaS environment, understanding the key challenges and opportunities inherent to SaaS products, is an asset.
• Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in decision-making and client interactions.
