Labourer Supervisor
Position Summary :
The Labourer Supervisor leads and oversees a team of production labourers in a construction setting. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, meeting production targets, and maintaining a safe work environment.
The Labourer Supervisor provides guidance, trains, and motivates the team, and ensures compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and lead a team of production labourers, ensuring alignment with production goals.
- Plan and oversee daily production schedules to meet targets.
- Monitor product quality and enforce quality standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment and conduct safety inspections.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Identify and address production issues and challenges.
- Provide training and coaching to enhance team skills.
- Maintain accurate production records and control costs.
- Foster open communication within the team and with other departments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills and team management abilities.
- Solid understanding of production processes and quality control.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols.
- Familiarity with hand-tools, construction equipment and basic maintenance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
