Estimator / Project Coordinator Main Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for Big Box Retail renovation projects.
- Collaborate with the project team to assess project scope, review plans, and determine accurate costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project costs throughout the bidding process.
- Participate in tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to provide updates on costs, budgets, and revisions.
- Ensuring project team adheres to provided timelines and deliverables
- Ensuring documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project
- Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders

- 5+ years experience in a project coordinator and estimator role
- Experience in ICI renovations projects
- Completed full cycle estimation and coordination on commercial retail renovation projects
- Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline
- Ability to be client-facing and increase project pipeline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines
- Familiar with project management and estimating software programs
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code
- excellent attitude and resilience
