About the role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the overall integrity and reporting of the financial information to internal and external users to meet reporting deadlines and ensures that effective accounting controls and procedures are in place and provides assistance to the Assistant Controller as needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead international transactions, cross company margin transfer and interco company balance reconciliation.
- Review journal entries and reconcile on a regular basis all G / L accounts.
- Daily Bank / Cash management, weekly cashflow projection, uploading ACH and wire payments, liaison with bank on enquires.
- Review and calculate rebate.
- Review and approve new vendor setup, point of contact with major vendor on credit limit.
- Assist A / R and A / P when needed, provide guidance to the team.
What you have
- A minimum of five years of Senior Accountant experience.
- Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Bonus points
- Knowledge of Great Plains and SAP are highly desirable
- Strong accounting and analytical experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience w / service billings an asset.
