Senior Solutions Architect

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Solutions Architect with a cloud focus to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be most interested in working with enterprises to adopt modern data systems with foundational cloud infrastructure elements.

The Senior Solutions Architect will work closely with our engineering team which includes architects and engineers in Cloud, Data and Machine Learning.

This role will also from time to time collaborate with technical leadership and the sales and marketing teams to contribute thought leadership for customers in our sales pipeline and marketing strategies.

As Sr. Solutions Architect, you will spend the majority of your day devising cloud-native architectures, data migrations and solutions to solve complex business and technology problems.

You will be most concerned with identifying the optimal infrastructure components to power Data Platforms, Enterprise Data Warehouses, as well as application workloads.

At Bitstrapped we enable Solutions Architects to also contribute to the deployment and configuration of their solutions.

The ideal candidate should prefer to spend a portion of their time with implementation.

The Role

• Implement Enterprise-level Google Cloud architectures
• Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, frameworks, and guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud-native services and solutions to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and presentations for clients and internal teams.
• Architect Analytics systems comprised of concepts including Data Platforms and Enterprise Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence, Databases, as well as containerized workloads with Docker
• Strong understanding of Microservice-based architecture, APIs, and application deployments
• Experience with migration of legacy and on-premise systems such as Oracle JDE, MySQL, and application workloads
• Experience working with enterprise standards for networking, security, and performance
• Experience working closely with technical project management and delivery management to contribute and assist in scoping, project plans, and estimation
• Develop detailed data migration project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables, based on the scope and requirements of the migration project
• Analyze the source data in legacy systems and map it to the target data structure in the new environment, ensuring data compatibility and consistency
• Collaborate with data engineers to profile source data and identify potential data quality issues, developing data cleansing and transformation strategies as needed
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes for future reference and knowledge sharing
• Develop comprehensive data validation plans and conduct rigorous testing to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a solutions architect in an enterprise environment, with the ability and interest to support up to 3 client accounts at any given time
• At least 3 years experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience being the technical lead on architecture decisions, collaborating with other engineering and IT staff, as well as the client teams to get the full picture and requirements
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS clouds are beneficial
• 1+ years’ experience with DevOps infrastructure automation tools (Terraform).
• Experience with one or many CI / CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CicleCI, Bitbucket, and additional DevOps Technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Experience in at least one programming language, preferably GoLang, Python
• Experience with a programming language is a nice to have

• AWS, Azure experience is a bonus

• Dataflow, BigQuery, AlloyDB, CloudSQL
• Cloud Networking and Security
• CI / CD : Github, GitLab, Jenkins or Bitbucket
• Application Architectures in the Cloud : NodeJS, Python, Java, or equivalent
• Databases : Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Linux server configurations
