The Technologies Business Practice is focused on the development, commercialization, and delivery of technologies, as well as specialized services, across all three of Hatch’s sectors : Metals, Energy, Infrastructure.

The Specialised Engineering team includes a diverse and experienced team of engineers and designers with a variety of expertise in advanced analysis, design methods and heavy experience developing designs all the way from ideation / concept to commissioning.

Hatch is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team in the Mississauga office. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for Non-Destructive Testing duties for Hatch clients.

The candidate will be a dynamic individual.

As the successful candidate, you will :

Conduct NDT system set-ups and calibration in the field

Conduct NDT Data collection in the field

Complete analysis and reports using various instrumentations and techniques

Assist in NDT field service marketing

Be involved in using new equipment

Work on problems and gain experience in the office and on project sites

Collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally

Benefit from formal and informal mentorship from some of the leading minds and authorities in the industry

Get exposed to a wide variety of roles, work types, and industries

Support the development and continuous improvement of various Hatch proprietary technologies

Be given opportunities to contribute to complex projects globally in meaningful ways

You bring to the role :

A College Diploma or Degree in Non-Destructive Testing or relevant field. Candidate with Level 1 or 2 NDT certificate is an asset

Knowledge of ultrasonic, stress wave and electromagnetic wave propagation techniques and instrumentations

Must have in-depth knowledge of various NDT techniques and instrumentation

Knowledge of coarse-grained (concrete, rock, masonry, refractory, etc.) NDT techniques is an asset

The capability of carrying out site inspections, data analysis, signal processing, and report finalization

The ability to interact with other people and work in a team environment

Plase note that extensive local & international travel and on site fieldwork is required
