Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Business Continuity Management and Business Processes, the incumbent's main mandate is to support and monitor the COO sector's initiatives.

He / she plays a key role in supporting the timely execution of the sector's priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an integrator in the management of initiatives and, as required, in priority and strategic files for the Chief Operating Officer's sector.
  • Documents the scope of initiatives / projects, their objectives, stakeholders' business needs, impacts and added value for the COO's sector.
  • Ensures ongoing project execution and progress, and coordinates project schedules.
  • Maintains and optimizes communications with internal and external stakeholders involved in the business unit's activities.

Ø Plans the schedule, execution of activities and related work, in collaboration with stakeholders in the sectors involved.

  • Provides expertise on methods and tools for executing strategies and tactics.
  • Makes recommendations to improve tracking of initiative delivery and centralization of documentation.
  • Supports the VPA in ongoing workforce planning, and follows up with group managers.
  • Works in close collaboration with the Retail Compliance department and contributes to the de-risking of the COO's area.

Qualifications

  • University education in an appropriate field and 5 years of project management experience.
  • Any other combination of experience and education could be considered
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Bank's environment
  • Good knowledge of the operations sector (an asset)
  • Bilingualism
  • Concern for work well done and respect for deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to analyze and summarize
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High degree of autonomy and organizational skills
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
