What we need :

The sales manager will contribute to the expansion of Brady’s field selling resources across Canada. This leadership position will support the Canadian country manager and will oversee a team of territory managers across Canada.

What you will be doing :

  • Support the national sales strategy and related efforts to convert market demand into relationships with end users and distributors that generate new sales and maintain existing sales.
  • Lead assigned territory managers in the region towards the accomplishment of key sales initiatives and sales goals.
  • Develop and mentor territory managers for future growth and advancement.
  • Meet timetables for reporting expenses, reporting results, setting goals, developing business plans and others as specified by the country manager.
  • Participate in product launches, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Provide regular field sales coaching and support ongoing structured training for assigned territory managers on topics of territory management, need generation, prospecting, solution selling, pipeline management, product training, and negotiation skills.
  • Bridge communication and messaging between assigned territory managers and country manager
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenses for assigned territory managers.
  • Build and execute an annual business plan, and supervise the business plan development of each of the assigned territories.
  • Assist the country manager with recruitment and interviewing activities throughout the region.
  • Assist the country manager with managing relationships with key end-users, channels, trade associations, and industry peers within the region.
  • Manage price assurances, pricing contracts, promotions, and special programs associated with the territory managers assigned to the assistant regional manager.
  • Lead on select national channel partners.

What you will need to be successful :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related.
  • Three years of outside sales experience.
  • Prior sales management experience or sales leadership.
  • Leadership skills in sales council; team meetings; regional and national sales meetings; training exercises; and trade show support.
  • Experience with CRM / SalesForce, business analytics.
  • Mentorship experience within sales team. Experience with coaching within a high performance culture.
  • The ability to travel up to 40%, overnight travel included as needed.
  • The ability to work in the greater Toronto area (proximity to both the Markham office and Toronto Pearson airport).

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Experience managing regional and national distribution partners.
  • Sales experience working with manufacturing end-users and industrial applications.
  • Expert usage of SalesForce.
