Truck driver

Qualifications and Skills :
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Proficient driving skills and knowledge of road safety rules.
- Ability to read maps, use GPS systems, and plan routes.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo and performing basic vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities :
Safe Operation of Vehicles :
- Drive various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, delivery trucks, and specialty vehicles.
- Follow traffic rules, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure the safety of oneself, other road users, and the cargo.
Cargo Transportation :
- Load, unload, and secure cargo according to industry standards and safety guidelines.
- Safely transport goods to designated destinations while minimizing damage and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Route Planning and Navigation :
- Use GPS systems and route planning tools to choose the most efficient and safe travel routes.
- Adapt to changing road conditions, traffic, and weather to optimize delivery schedules.
Time Management :
- Manage driving time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Plan rest breaks and manage fatigue to ensure safe driving.
