Astek is looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of its clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for various maritime vessels, including power distribution, navigation, communication, and automation systems.
- Oversee and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including naval architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with maritime regulations and standards, maintaining the highest levels of safety and reliability.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of existing systems on maritime vessels.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in maritime electrical engineering and apply innovative solutions to improve vessel performance .
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in maritime, shipbuilding, or naval electrical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in electrical system design, CAD software, and relevant maritime engineering tools.
- In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with international teams.
