Lead Audio Visual Technician

Responsibilities

• Theinstallation and servicing of cabling infrastructure andaudio / visual devices including prewiring installation terminationtesting reporting and labeling according to specifications anddrawings.
• Theinstallation of audio / visual equipment such as audio and videoconferencing equipment distributed audio digital signage soundreinforcement control systems and all presentationsystems.
• Systemprogramming and commissioning using Crestron Toolbox ExtronTollbelt and Tesira software to establish connections withdevices.
• Updevice IDs and IP addresses and maintain and update spreadsheetsforprogrammers.
• Maintainefficiency in onsite activities and goals keeping the project teammotivated.
• Coachand train otherTechnicians.
• Programfiles and update firmware for variousdevices.
• Racksand implements strong cable managementpractices.
• Interpretsystem diagrams and constructiondrawings.
• Safetyand incident reporting procedures arefollowed.
• Administrativeduties including project updates to Project Managers and completingand filing all projectdocumentation.
• Berequired to be oncall before or after your regularly scheduledhours and / or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled towork.
• Maintainrelationships with clients and prospects for futureopportunities.

Requirements

DesiredSkills & Experience

• Progressiveexperience in installing and maintaining complex AudioVisualsystems in a commercialenvironment.
• Preferredexperience working in the hospitality healthcare and / orpostsecondaryindustries.
• Conventionalcommercial AV technical stac : Crestron NVX QSC Qsys Biamp ClearOneDante Shureetc.
• Preferredcertifications in CTS CTSI Extron AV Associate Biamp Tesira ForteBiamp AV Lab and Crestron ProfessionalInstallation.
• Flexibilityto work in various environments from construction sites to finishedcorporateoffices.
• Musthave a valid Driver s License and a clean drivingrecord.

Requirements : University graduate or equivalent experience withfurther studies in AV installation, data or voice communications,or drafting.

Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and / orcommunications environment. Understanding of project managementpractices and customer service obligations.

Knowledge ofelectrical, electronic, communications, and computer products andequipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar,punctuation, and spelling.

Familiarity with building constructionand blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial IntegratorNavigate system, specifically for change orders and delay noticesfeedback to the Project Manager. CTS-I CertificationPreferred
