The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining Extreme Reach's core databases and applications. This position will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users.
This position will also require user support as needed.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage SQL Server databases on AWS
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Provide support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Create and maintain T-SQL Stored procedures
- Develop and manage SSRS Reports
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Management
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years of experience with MS SQL Server Administration experience is required
- 5+ years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization
- 5+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- 5+ years of experience with complex queries
- 5+ years of experience with T-SQL stored procedures
- Previous experience with database encryption
- 2+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Working knowledge of MySQL, Elastic Search, Visual Studio, Windows, and AWS is desired
- Good knowledge of Snowflake, Power BI, and Looker is a plus
