Senior Estimators Main Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Review drawings and specifications and identify the divisions of work.
- Engage in project development activities, including defining and clarifying scope, preconstruction planning, and developing control estimates for delivery
- Provide preconstruction services by preparing preliminary budgets, cost plans, and identifying value engineering opportunities.
- Study plans and specifications clarifying location and document discrepancies
- Oversee the preparation and execution of detailed quantity takeoff estimates, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Confirm if there is a site visit and arrange attendance.
- Work with Subcontractors to understand their requirements
- Negotiate and award contracts
- Assist with Scheduling.

- 8+ years of estimating experience in positions leading up to Senior Estimator role
- Experience in ICI design build and renovation projects
- Experience bidding on projects between $1M - $30M
- Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline
- Proven ability to prepare detailed cost estimates and preliminary budgets.
- Experience conducting comprehensive quantity takeoff estimates while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ability to be client-facing and increase project pipeline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and work within a team
- Familiar with project management and estimating software programs
