Senior Business Systems Consultant, IT Investment Applications Investment Management FocusAs a Member of Our Team You Will be Responsible For : Elicit business requirements, conduct analysis, translate into technical specifications and feasible solutionsAct as primary liaison and technical advisor to investment management teams across all private markets asset classes (Infrastructure, Private Equity, Global Credit and Real Estate)Work with the project implementation team to evaluate available systems.

Assist with the development of evaluation criteria and scoring matrixParticipate in vendor demonstrations and product evaluations.

Provide recommendations to senior executivesLead planning and direct analysis with business stakeholders to ensure full understanding of organizational objectives and priorities Provide guidance and carry-out business analysis, and translate into technical specifications and solutionsPartner with all stakeholders, including investment management, development, infrastructure, and third-party vendors, to develop solutions to support investment strategies and corporate objectivesConduct detailed process mapping, and document findings as related to investment operationsContribute to business cases for systems implementations, and participate in RFP and due diligence processesManage enhancements of investment operations and workflows including downstream processing and investment reportingParticipate in implementation of new investment systems solutions to support all front office functions, including all public and private markets asset classes, total portfolio management and public markets alternativesEngage technology architects and other IT partners to determine dependency and impact to the overall investment systems architectureManage, design and execute the testing process to ensure visibility, traceability, and effective execution to deliver high-quality solutionsDisseminate knowledge and information with other team members in a collaborative mannerConduct risk-benefits analysis in clear technical and non-technical languageStrive to improve environment stability by working with others to set up and maintain production configurationsContinuously elevate service levels with all business usersMonitor operational risk and systems performance management in all initiativesWhat do you need to succeed?

Experience in systems selection and implementation for portfolio management and reportingDeep understanding of the private market asset classes deal flow and operationsDirect working experience in front-office operations across different asset classes and teamsComprehensive knowledge of internal and external investment workflows and trading lifecycleMultiple implementation experience of public and private markets investment systems such as portfolio management and analytical systems, order management systems, and research platforms, including total portfolio view and analytics by asset class and strategyFamiliar with private markets investment workflows such as origination and deal flow of direct and co-investmentStrong experience in data aggregation from multiple sources and investment reporting Demonstrated ability to play multiple hands-on roles such as project management, requirement analysis, solution design and visioning, planning, testing, and solutions implementationExperience with systems and data integration with the book of record applications and custody platformsPrior leadership role in other investment IT organizationUndergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of ten years of experience in the asset management or investment industryKnowledge of systems development life-cycles including planning, requirement, analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and post-implementation activities in agile and waterfall approachesExcellent communication skills, ability to communicate comfortably with both business and technical teamsDomain knowledge in IT service management such as incident management, change management, configuration management and operations managementPrior involvement with third-party vendors, internal and external operational audits CFA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSC, Lean and / or Six Sigma, or PMP designation is preferredExperience with other investment systems such as Bloomberg trading platforms, Managed Account Platform, Eagle (Data Management, Performance and Accounting Solutions), Ortec Glass, Argus Enterprise, MSCI BarraOne, SSCNet, Dynamo, FINCAD, MATLAB and SQL
