Job Description

As the Senior Director of Analytics, you will build and lead a team of analytic professionals at Momentum that will leverage analytics and reporting to uncover business value and track KPIs.

As a hands-on leader, you will leverage your experience in business analytics and reporting to develop Momentum’s internal analytics consultancy.

You and your team will interface with business partners to solve business problems across the enterprise. The Analytics team will develop dashboards, reporting, and ad-hoc requests to track KPIs, lender requests, and support other business needs.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners across the enterprise to provide analytic and consulting services.
  • Build and lead a team that solves business problems across a variety of financial service domains including loan origination, customer management, finance, fraud, collections, operations and marketing.
  • Develop and implement dashboards, reports, alerts, etc. to inform of business trends.
  • Develop learning agenda and experiments with business partners to optimize business processes.
  • Evaluate and curate new tools, techniques, and data sources to uncover business value.
  • Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Foster a test & learn culture with team and business partners.
  • Mentor, manage, and motivate a highly educated team of analytic professionals.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Degree in an applied quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Graduate degree preferred, additional 5+ years of experience in lieu of advanced degree.

Experience

  • 10+ years in applied analytics, preferable in financial services.
  • Familiarity with a variety of financial service functions and their associated KPIs.
  • 5+ years management experience.

Skills

  • Expert in SQL required. Proficient in Python, SAS, R or other analytic programming language solving analytic problems.
  • Expert in the development and delivery of dashboards, reports, etc. utilizing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, etc.
  • Proficient in the design of experiments, statistical analysis, and business analytics.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and concerns to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to coach & motivate a highly educated team.
