Senior Product Designer
Typical Day in Role :
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of 8+ team members, including visual designers, accessibility experts, quality tester, Web, iOS and Android developers.
- Craft thoughtful design solutions with an expert understanding of web and mobile design UX / UI patterns, Apple’s HIG, Material 3 and Material 2 guidelines.
- Define Design System details that include component specifications, behaviours, accessibility criteria and use case guidelines.
- Advocate for our Design System, promoting scalable design practices and knowledge throughout the bank.
- As a subject matter expert, help facilitate design contributions in demos and answer inquiries from the design and development community in Office Hours.
- Collaborate closely with designers from Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
Candidate Requirements / Must-Have skills :
- 10+ years of experience as a UI / UX designer.
- 10+ years of experience designing web and mobile products.
- 10+ years of experience and expert knowledge of responsive web, iOS and Android design patterns.
- Extensive understanding and experience with Figma (to do prototypes, animations, interactions).
Nice-To-Have Skills :
- Previous experience with design systems preferred.
- Experience with industry prototyping tools (please list which).
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
- Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
- Fundamental understanding of HTML / CSS.
- Experience applying WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to design.

Education :
Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, User Experience Design, related field, or equivalent work experience.
