Job Duties / Responsibilities : Conduct preventivemaintenance services at all levels. Identify warrantable repairsand document effectively.
Maintain workplace safety andcleanliness. Perform road tests for diagnostic purposes. Workautonomously efficiently and effectively.
Utilize various tools andequipment including hand and power tools welding equipment andhoists. Inspect and maintain vital vehicle components.
Executeroutine maintenance and equipment adjustments. Specialize inrepairing major components like engines and transmissions.
Undertake other projects as assigned. Qualifications : Minimum 5years of practical experience in tractortrailer maintenance.
Required Provincial License such as Red Seal / 310T. Current driver slicense (Class D or 3 with air brake certification) or the abilityto obtain it within 6 months.
Proficiency in using trade tools anddiagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills. Ability to work invaried environmental conditions.
Specialized training in majorcomponent diagnosis and troubleshooting. Physical Work Demands : Regularly lift / move up to 12kg frequently up to 23kg occasionallyup to 45kg.
Specific vision abilities for the job. Regular standingwalking sitting and hand coordination. Work Environment : Acommitment to safety and excellence in a dynamic and collaborativework environment.
Travel within the district may be required. -5years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenancerequired -MUST possess respective Provincial License such as RedSeal / 310T -Must maintain membership / registration with respectiveGovernment Agencies -Current drivers license class D or class 3with air brake certification required or ability to obtain itwithin 6 months of being hired -Proficiency in the use of all toolsof trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, handand power tools) required -Basic computer skills required -Abilityto work in non-climate controlled conditions required -Specializedtraining and experience in the diagnosis / troubleshooting of majorcomponents (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM trainingcourses preferred -Regular, predictable, full attendance is anessential function of the job -Willingness to travel as necessarywithin the district (customers yards, close geographical area andtraining sites), work the required schedule, work at the specificlocation required, complete Penske employment application, submitto employment reference checks.
