Position Profile

We are currently recruiting for anAircraft Maintenance Technician - (Licensed & Unlicensed) with Dash 8 / Q 400 Experience to join our team in Calgary, AB.

We offer a competitive compensation package including medical benefits and RRSP matching with day shifts - Monday Friday 0600-1430.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Qualified to perform systems installation tasks under the supervision of a licensed MaintenanceTechnician in a AMO environment
• Responsible to the assigned leader and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed media
• Basic knowledge of Standard Practices and MechanicsSystems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer’s installation manuals
• Have a basic understanding of other aircraft systems , hydraulic, flight controls and major components
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Mechanicssystems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electrical
• Perform system checks and inspections to ensure Mechanicssystems are in compliance with industry and safety standards
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditions
• Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft
• Perform other work as assigned and willing to work shift work
• Properly utilize Maintenancetest equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain Mechanicshand tools to perform installations and repairs
• Safely operate ground support equipment, , Power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required

Education & Experience

• Must have 5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8
• Shall hold or working towards a current AME M Transport Canada license or related experience
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience with all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada products consider an asset

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work Monday Friday 0600-1430
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
