What is the Opportunity?

The Lead Digital Product Manager, Travel (Avion Rewards) is responsible for leading the digital vision and strategy of the Travel portfolio, defining the digital product roadmap, and delivering clear requirements to Designers and Engineers who will bring the vision to life.

This role is also responsible for understanding user behavior, optimizing the product for customer and business needs, and measuring success by tracking key product metrics.

You will drive the day-to-day digital product development schedule from design through to release, owning the product life cycle, and defining & monitoring metrics that measure the success of this portfolio.

What will you do?

  • Partner with the Travel business team to define the product vision and roadmap
  • Create digital product strategies for solving user needs and problems
  • Communicate effectively the vision and strategy, taking into consideration different stakeholders
  • Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the vision of future RBC products and applications
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders from concept through to shipping
  • Primary contact for travel vendor integration initiatives, representing the Digital Travel portfolio in various forums
  • Work with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, leaders, internal business and delivery partners, and other subject matter experts on a day-to-day basis
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of product development; including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation
  • Contribute to the definition of the OKRs and KPIs for own product domain to measure the success of the portfolio and define the right visualization to be consumed by different stakeholders
  • Conduct industry and competitive analysis to identify best-in-class digital experiences in the digital travel space across the user journey stages
  • Partner with other digital teams to increase awareness and engagement of Avion Rewards
  • Partner with the Analytics team to create dashboards for analytics and reporting for own product domain. This includes creating user funnels to understand how members interact with the travel value proposition

What do you need to succeed?

Must have :

  • 3+ years Digital Product Management experience using digital platforms, with a solid understanding of technical concepts and a focus on building digital experiences that support the various stages of the user travel journey
  • Proven ability with building travel mobile experiences
  • Experience leading agile teams / squads
  • In-depth knowledge of consumer needs in the online Travel space
  • Experience with vendor integration
  • Experience with analytics and data visualization
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and conducting A / B tests and funnel analysis
  • Awareness of market leading concepts that enable loyalty programs and / or e-commerce digital channels, focusing on Travel
  • Excellent communication skills to showcase product ideas and collect valuable feedback
