Job Summary

We areseeking a Corrosion Engineer to join Global ManufacturingExcellence organization under the Downstream Global ManufacturingSupport Department (GMSD).

GMSDs technical team is amultidisciplinary team provides the required highquality technicalsupport to GM operating facilities (Refineries NGLF andpetrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia &across the globe.

Your primary role will be toprovide technical support to operating facilities projectstechnology deployment and talent development of new corrosionengineers.

You will also conduct special studies and analysis in aspecialized corrosion control field such as cathodic protectionwater treatment chemical inhibition or materials selection.

Additionally you will provide specialized technical corrosioncontrol services and consultation.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Implement corrosion management program and onstreammonitoring.
• Conduct riskbased inspection basedon API580 methodology.
• Review and approverecommended solutions for coating failures and cathodicprotection.
• Participate in HAZOP reviewsessions and ensure all issues are addressed.
• Manage water treatment program and recommend solutions toovercome challenges.
• Review design packagesand validate materials selection based on current codes andstandards.
• Validate corrosion controlscorrosion loops and corrosion damage mechanismsfrequently.
• Assess feed composition changesand approve recommended solutions to assure assetintegrity.
• Develop scope and description oftechnology items and lead field implementation.
• Develop and transfer knowledge about the use of coatingCP corrosion inhibitors and other corrosion controls and bestpractices.

Requirements :

• Willingness to relocate toDhahran Saudi Arabia.
• Hold aBachelors degree in engineering preferably in mechanicalengineering.
• Have a minimum of 12 yearsexperience with a strong preference for 15 years plus in processingin Oil / Gas industry material science and metrology different NDTtechnology and their applications and knowledge in the engineeringaspects of welding.
• Knowledge of internationalstandards and codes such as NACE ASME API and ASTM especiallyinspection and corrosion standards such as API571 API580 API570 andAPI510 is required.
• Hold a valid NACESpecialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist or acombination of NACE Corrosion Technologist API571 and NACE CP LevelII.
