Responsibilities

• Research and analyze the applicability of environmental levies, applied to merchandise for sale, and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Liaise with Merchandising Groups and Vendors to obtain intricate product information required to apply fee (levies) status on goods.
• Understand the data sources, support the information provided, answer any questions and concerns.
• Research and resolve customer complaints and issues that arise. Review requests and data to research and provide the analysis that will assist the respond to customers.
• Analyze accounts and ensure journal entries are posted to clear liability accounts, as required.
• Assist with the maintenance of the Levy Master Data file and the linking of fees (levies) to items. Perform business analysis using data : Understand business requirements and provide analysis.
• Focus on continuous improvement : Proactively identify ways to improve processes.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned on relevant Fees Compliance process.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of Accounting Analysis experience
• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines.
• Retail background is an asset but not Mandatory
• Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, must be extremely detail oriented.
• Highly motivated
• Good analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Independent worker
• Work with MS Office including Excel
