Q4A is looking to expand our team and require a BIM Specialist to continue our BIM-development firm wide. This role is suited toward a candidate that is highly collaborative and is impassioned to learn more about digital design and support our national BIM practices.

This position will work out of our Toronto office and will provide remote support to our Calgary and Ottawa offices.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of experience with BIM / Revit modeling, drawing, data management, quantity estimation, clash detection and support
• High-level ability to create, troubleshoot, and standardize Revit families
• Ability to create, troubleshoot, and standardize Dynamo graphs
• Should have an understanding of architectural documentation and construction techniques
• Should have a solid understanding of BIM use and methodology from Design, Construction and Construction Documentation
• Experience and understanding of Low-rise and wood-frame construction practices is an asset.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Education :

A University Degree / Technology Diploma in Architecture, BIM, Engineering, Design, or similar coupled with relevant experience would be preferred.

Technical Skills and Responsibilities :

• Directly assist and report to our office’s BIM Manager.
• Assist with the development of office and project BIM standards. Ensuring standards are maintained in the creation of the architectural Revit models and other BIM content.
• Demonstrate high level proficiency in Revit 3D modelling and model collaboration.
• Family and Template Creation and Maintenance.
• Educate and train team members with Q4A standard modelling and documentation procedures.
• Assist project teams in BIM 360 management and coordinating consultant models.
• Assist with Revit Data export to IFC and Navisworks for client and consultant coordination.
• Assist Project Managers & Job Captains with BIM project setup.
• Assist in coordination and management of BIM DATA sets and extraction workflow.
• Educate staff on use of Add-ons and Plugins.
• Assists in maintaining family libraries and a ticketing system to track their creation.
• Assist in creation, maintenance and educating staff on Dynamo script use to maximize efficiencies.
• Assist in troubleshooting project modeling techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in new tool / technology testing and deployment.
• Actively check for data and modeling conformance on BIM-mandated projects.

Our Toronto office is easily accessible by transit and car. Conveniently located at the Yonge Subway line's Yorkmills Station with a direct underground access to the office building.
