As the Payroll Coordinator youwill oversee the fullcycle payroll process including time andattendance approvals and ensure accurate and timely compensationfor all employees.
EssentialFunctions
- Manage thefull cycle biweekly payroll process for salaried and hourlyemployees (approximately 400).
- Review time andattendance data using ADP WorkforceNow.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now or Ceridiansoftware for payroll management.
- Track vacationsick leave and lieu days for all staff.
- Preparelabor cost reports and detailed payrollreports.
- Approve timesheets and invoices foragency staff.
- Administer the employee benefitplan with Canada Life and the company pensionplan.
- Assist with new hire onboardingorientation and employee terminations.
- Performvarious payrollrelated tasks and some HR functions asrequired.
Health andSafety
- Conduct all jobtasks safely and responsibly.
- Possess knowledgeof workplace safety and proper lifting / handlingprocedures.
- Participate in all Health andSafety GMP and HACCP training sessions asrequired.
- Engage in the Joint Health and SafetyCommittee (JHSC).
- Report any accidentsincidents or hazardous conditions to your lead hand orsupervisor.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA WSIBMOL regulations and workplace safety rules as covered duringorientation (section 28 of the OHSA) and adhere to the companyssafety standards Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCPprograms.
JobQualifications
- Postsecondaryeducation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience infull cycle payroll preferably using ADP WorkforceNow.
- Strong communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to exercise sound judgment tact anddiscretion.
- Strong analytical skills witheffective problemsolving and decisionmakingabilities.
- Proficiency inExcel.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask and prioritizework.
- PCP / CPM designation or working towards apayroll designation.
