Responsibilities :
- Developing, delivering, and facilitating OH&S training materials and programs
- Conducting internal safety program & management system reviews and audits
- Assisting in development of departmental procedures (SOP / JSA / WIs)
- Becoming a member of the JOHS Committee
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and technical coordinators to develop best in class safety training content

You bring :
- Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a closely related field preferred
- Professional designation or certification preferred (CRSP, CRST, CSP, CHSC), or ability to pursue
- Minimum five years’ experience as a health and safety practitioner and a Qualified First Aid Instructor preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Nova Scotia OHS Standards
- Experience creating and facilitating OH&S training
- Comfortable spending time in a manufacturing plant environment and interacting with frontline operations and production employees.
