Our client is a growing global specialty chemical provider that strategically formulates and manufactures chemistries primarily for cleaning and descaling applications.

Our client’s focus is on achieving positive economic, safety, and environmental results for its customers.

This role is leading the creation of the story for their products that includes developing an in-depth understanding of its customers and their cleaning problems in the field, positioning its R & D developments to fit market needs, finding unique story telling opportunities to share the benefits to the customer or consumer on how Win’s chemistries fill the market need.

Our client is looking for an experienced storyteller, excellent communicator, and a versatile investigator .

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for overall project management and administration of the company’s marketing program through collaboration with the R &D team and the sales / customer interface team.

This position works closely with the management team, supporting product development by developing effective marketing campaigns and sales tools / playbooks for current and future products along with enhancing the company’s brand as a thought leader in the industry.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company's customer base and creating effective strategies that will promote growth.

To be successful the candidate should have the following traits : outgoing team player, enthusiastic, collaborative, creative, critical thinker, good writing skills, hardworking, and willing to engage in building rapport with the leadership team, sales, and other support resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with the management team to develop and implement an overall marketing strategy for the company.
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand and prioritize the needs and opportunities of customers.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Partner with the sales team to gain market and customer insights and align on sales goals.
  • Collaborate with all departments as new products are being developed to create engaging and informative sales and communication tools.
  • Develop and design company communications and sales materials, including press releases, collateral, iData sheets, email templates, demonstration videos, and other inbound and outbound initiatives.
  • Be responsible for the design, development, management, and content generation for the company’s external website and social media platforms.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, Chemistry or related areas.
  • At least 3 years experience in marketing communications.
  • Demonstrated interest in scientific communications.
  • Experience product launch processes and strategies.
  • Project management experience preferred.

Computer Skills :

Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, marketing automation (HubSpot) and customer relationship management platforms.

Other Skills and Abilities :

  • Exemplary writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to draft marketing content (e.g., sales collateral, product specs, industry specs, etc.) and corporate communications.
  • Extremely organized with strong project management acumen.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker with an ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Flexible and organized with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior management and peers.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, ability to manage fast paced, multiple projects simultaneously with an attention to detail.
  • Well organized approach to files, workflow, communication, and follow-up.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to employ learning to make continuous changes to the marketing program.
  • Ability to work independently within specific guidelines and program scope.
  • Team collaborator and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to comprehend difficult concepts and communicate them clearly to a technical audience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools.
  • Specialty chemical experience desired but not required.
