Manager of Technology, North American Software Delivery (100% remote)

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Manager of Technology, North American Software Delivery (100% remote) for our premier client.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years’ experience in software development.
• 5+ years building user interfaces, web applications and services on a public cloud infrastructure,
• 3+ years of software development management experience.
• 1+ years leading teams using Agile, Scrum, XP, or Kanban
• Experience with Web UI development and JavaScript libraries (React.js, Vue.js.).
• Experience in API service oriented architectures.
• Experience with Cookie consent and web analytics.
• Experience with Mobile Application development.
• Experience with Agency or Marketing industry or fast paced environments in general.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Experience with leveraging public cloud infrastructure (specifically AWS / EC2 and serverless).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with Lottie / Bodymovin animations.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and / or Figma.
• Capable of contributing technically when necessary.
• Demonstrable knowledge of software design patterns, algorithms, data structures and modern programming techniques.
• Knowledge of common web development patterns.

Job Responsibilities :

• Attract, recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
• Manage and lead a team of 5 to 7 Software Engineers to deliver web experiences with best-in-class production values that will be enjoyed by millions of users.
• Work directly with digital producers and platform teams to provide business solutions from inception to operation.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Cultivate and groom leaders.
• Resource planning and financial accountability.
• Act as a servant leader to a team or a team of teams so that they are enabled to maximize the value they can deliver to the business.
• Foster a growth mind-set in all employees.
• Foster and enable software craftsmanship and innovation.
• Advocate for the team and promote their successes, celebrate their failures, and share key learnings throughout the organization.
• Review the performance of the team and individual team members and provide effective coaching for improvement.
