Senior Accounting Technician

Major Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and journal entry preparation companies only
• Preparation of Financial statements Notice to Reader only
• Preparation of client working paper files
• Preparation of personal, corporate and trust income tax returns
• Preparation of payroll, GST / HST reports and year-end tax forms
• Work with accounting software (Quickbooks) and provide support to clients
• Respond to various client questions Qualifications
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of public accounting experience
• Experience with preparation of Notice to Reader statements
• Experience preparing trust, personal and corporate income tax returns
• Experience preparing partnership tax filings is a plus
• Proficient in the following : Quickbooks, Excel, Adobe and MS Office
• Proven ability to learn new software programs is important
• Strong time management skills
• Proven team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
