The BMO Multi-Asset Solutions team is a Toronto based center of excellence within BMO Global Asset Management (GAM) Canada.

In addition to a rigorous strategic asset allocation process, tactical asset allocation is also used to take advantage of market opportunities.

The analyst will be responsible for supporting the Multi-Asset Solutions team across various functions including maintaining models, trading, analysis, performance, and data management.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical expertise, strong analytical skills, passion for investing, attention to detail, and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Daily rebalancing and trading
• Monitoring and tracking performance, including attribution
• Designing and producing regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
• Data management
• Providing research and monitoring of domestic and international economic and political trends
• Data analysis on portfolio positioning and tactical trades
• Assisting with the production of commentaries, client materials, RFPs
• Supporting client service teams
• Adhering to all compliance, regulatory and legal guidelines

Competencies :

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency with programming (R, Python)
• Experience with Bloomberg, Charles River, FactSet would be an asset
• Demonstrates keen interest in financial markets and investing
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Knowledge of derivatives would be beneficial
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Strong collaborator
• Undergraduate degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or similar discipline

Salary :

$62,300.00 - $115,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
