Responsibilities
- Legal research;
- Preparation of legal documents through dictation, copy or other instructions;
- Perform regulatory and business research and filings;
- Ability to edit legal documents, presentations, letters and emails;
- Review and translation as needed;
- Excellent time management and organizational skill;
- Updating legal and other skills;
Qualifications
What You Bring
You are a team player with a flexible and positive attitude, have the ability to establish priorities and can work well under pressure.
In addition, this position requires an individual with excellent organizational, communication and written skills in both French and English.
- You embrace evolving technology and have strong computer skills.
- Prior experience in corporate law is not required, but would be considered an asset.
- 3-5 years experience as a legal assistant in Quebec - Canada;
Other Skills
- Proof-reading and translation in English and French (oral and written)
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and be resourceful
- Management of files
- Microsoft Word advanced skills and Excel,
- Legal software
- Speech Exec transcription software, or other similar software
