Job Title : Sr. Business Consultant

Duration : 6 month rolling contract

Work location : 4 days per week remote, 1 day per week in the office in downtown Toronto ON

T4 Pay rate : $70 - $78 / hour T4 (with benefits, accruing vacation time, and 10 paid holidays)

Incorporated pay rate : $80 - $88 / hour Incorporated + HST

Project Details :

• Our client has over 20 platforms for trading.
• Every evening 5000 data files go into a central repository which my team manages.
• They have different groups looking to consume the data but need help identifying what data they need to use.
• This person will act as the BA and Business Consultant to help them identify the data needed and then work with the business tech team to help build / automate those reports

Must Have Skills :

1. SQL experience to pull the data, manipulate the data and strong query experience. Expert level with complex SQL querying

2. Excel experience to move the data in and then manipulate and move it around. Excel Macros is important.

3. Strong data background and business acumen to understand a requirement and help build it

4. Strong BA experience and communication experience to be able to approach teams gather information and then build that into the data requirements

5. Capital Markets experience in Back, Middle or Front office with an understanding of OTC Derivatives and various different Regulatory bodies

Responsibilities :

• Understand centralized data repository
• Responsible for data quality control for regulatory data within capital markets.
• Building reports, using excel, SQL, etc. extracting data and creating reports.
• Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Pulling data from multiple sources
• Understand where data needs to be fed to (Bloomberg, Calypso etc.)
