Under the supervision of the Customer Accounts-Insurance Team Leader, the holder of the collection technician position is responsible for following up with customers to ensure payment of overdue invoices.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Ensure the recovery of insurance customer accounts in accordance with established procedures and internal control rules;
- Analyze the accounts according to the payment terms and initiate the recovery procedure within the required time frame;
- Perform analysis and reconciliation of customer accounts;
- Keep recovery comments up to date in the computer system;
- Codify and escalate disputed invoices;
- Follow up with sales teams regarding overdue accounts;
- Make adjustments and journal entries to accounts receivable, if necessary;
- Carry out customer reimbursement requests and check their validity;
- Answer customer questions, either by telephone or email;
- Establish and maintain good relationships with our customers;
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Provide a status of the resolution of pending files with your team leader;
- Follow up on various pending files;
- Participate in various process improvement projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- DEC in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of collection experience.
- Perfect command of English and French, both oral and written.
- Good knowledge of the MS office suite : Strong knowledge of Excel

- Ease of working on different computer systems
