An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Dermatology Outpatient Department to cover maternity leave as an Administration Assistant.
The postholder will be required to provide an efficient administrative service to the clinicians and their teams.
The successful candidate will work within the Outpatient Team but also have the ability to work independently. They will be required to follow Policies and Procedures.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability and must have an organised approach to work.

Main duties of the job
This role involves working closely with patients, medical and nursing staff. Post holders will be required to provide an efficient face to face reception service to patients.
The role will include all face to face reception duties - check in patients / check out patients and make appointments.
The ability to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for your department is essential. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability and must have an organised approach to work.

- To support the provision of an efficient admin and clerical service within the operational services department.
- To ensure patient documents are prepared, updated and available a timely manner.
- Provide information to patients, relatives and staff.
- Deal with telephone enquires promptly.
- To ensure that data input is amended as necessary

oGood standard of English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above or equivalent or equivalent level experience

- NHS software packages - Knowledge of SystmOne, eRecord
- Experience working in a patient / public environment in an administration or clerical role.
- Previous experience working within the NHS
