Our client, a fast-growing, innovative, and market leading consumer healthcare organization with an extensive portfolio of partnered brands, is looking for a sharp, driven, goal-oriented sales "hunter" to join their team as a Business Development Manager.

This BDM role will be instrumental in propelling sales by engaging with companies and potential clients to introduce our client's comprehensive solutions and services.

This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset, and someone who can thrive within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and who has an unwavering commitment to success.

and of course, someone who has a passion for tracking down new business opportunities!

This ideal candidate for this role will likely be a sharp sales professional with previous CPG / OTC consumer healthcare experience (either as a rep or as an Account Manager), who understands the market and the various players (both from a customer and manufacturer perspective), and who has a strong track record of success - and passion for - hunting down new business.

Please note this is not an account management or "farming" existing business role, the successful candidate will be provided with leads and will be expected to utilize all available and reasonable resources to translate these leads into tangible sales-generating opportunities.

With success, this role will lead to more progressive and senior roles within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and prospect relevant new products, brands, and companies in the Canadian market.
  • Champion company's comprehensive services to prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies.
  • Create compelling presentation materials for client engagements.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to craft responses to proposal requests.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing.
  • Foster and negotiate long-term client relationships.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • A degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business development experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success, including prospecting and closing.
  • Expertise in selling to senior-level professionals in industries such as Healthcare, CPG, Retail, and OTC.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
  • Possess a winning mindset and a relentless pursuit of success.
  • High energy coupled with an entrepreneurial, creative, and strategic approach.
  • Strong networking abilities.
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, presentation, and public speaking.
  • Dependable and diplomatic, adept at problem-solving.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and data-mining.
