Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper
Role and Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our clients Team in Etobicoke, ON. The successful candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
In this role you will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to, administration of all payroll and general accounting activities.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Job Description
Account payable & account receivable.
Administration of payroll.
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
Reconcile accounts.
Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Other office and administration duties.
Communicate professionally in all verbal and written communication.
Perform other related activities, as assigned.
Experience and Education :
Post-secondary education in business / accounting field an asset.
3+ years in an accounting position.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of accounting systems and various computer programs. Experience using Great Plains Dynamics would be an asset.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision and to self-manage work time and priorities.
Able to prioritize tasks and be flexible when urgent matters arise.
Possess strong interpersonal skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
