Outreach Coordinator, Come to Work

We're looking for a mission-driven Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

  • Designing, planning and execution of outreach activities to SME's related to CNIB's Come to Work Program.
  • Engaging with SME's in the industries that the Talent Pool are actively seeking to work in.
  • Regular follow up with potential and current partners and participants by phone, email and in person.
  • Respond to program inquiries and track results.
  • Conducts research on a variety of topics as required.
  • Regularly report on project deliverables.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of the team and work independently to achieve program goals.
  • Actively networks and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partner program providers, community-based volunteer groups, and other stakeholders critical to the delivery of the Come to Work program.
  • Effectively manage conflicting deadlines and competing priorities at a fast pace, while still producing high-quality work.
  • Records evidence of work accomplished and provides details as requested.

Requirements

Who you are :

Education and Certifications

Minimum Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven time management and organization skills; receptive to changing priorities, deadlines and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficiency / working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in reporting on government or administrative project, an asset.
  • Professional attitude, results oriented, self-directed and flexible.
  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature, as well as emotional and social stability when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss and other functional challenges.
  • Proven knowledge of existing programs and program providers to establish / re-establish working relationships is an asset.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Language fluency Written and Oral English.
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and / or accessible environments is considered an asset.

Work Environment

  • Agile office environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Occasional travel within the region.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days / week in office, at either of our Vancouver, Victoria, Prince George or Kelowna Hubs and 3 days working remotely.
