Reporting to the Director, the Program Manager with the Adult Community and Suburban Clinics portfolio will provide inspired leadership and administrative oversight to the three streams of service addiction, mental health and concurrent disorders.
The Program Manager will provide strategic leadership providing direction, inspired leadership, and organization for initiatives and programs to ensure that patients / clients are offered a high quality of specialized recovery focused care based on evidence informed practice.
The Program Manager will ensure that programs including patients / clients within the MHA Adult Community will be delivered in accordance with Recovery Alberta shared commitments.

This Program Manager position supports multiple community-based services that provide a direct client care to Adults with Addiction and Mental Health Concerns.
The Program Manager is responsible for strategic planning for the identified programs, in collaboration with existing leaders of the portfolio, inclusive of identifying and responding to the operational needs of their programs.
Must hold a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is responsible to promote and maintain a healthy work environment; demonstrate leadership skills with human resource functions including recruitment, coaching, clinical supervision, scheduling, and experience of working within a unionized environment.
The successful incumbent will have a strong track record of establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with physicians, health care providers, colleagues within our Adult MHA portfolio and leaders within other program areas.
The individual will have excellent analytical and decision-making skills, based on a framework of patient and family centered care, safety, and quality improvement.
Experience with change management principles within teams, the individual will also demonstrate an ability to motivate others to achieve organizational goals.
The PM acts as a liaison between patients / families and Physicians to address concerns and provide system navigation. Enhanced working knowledge of Connect Care.
Aware of how to collect and report activity base care. Needs to be familiar with the Mental Health and Addictions Portfolio for the Edmonton zone.
Able to support and lead teams when changes, challenges and opportunities occur.
