Position : Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : Downtown Toronto

Quantum Management Services is seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist for a fine-tech company in Downtown, Toronto.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing the end-to-end AP process with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all necessary steps and functionalities.

Your primary duties will encompass the accurate handling of invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card payments, from entry and review to approval and payment.

It will be imperative to ensure the proper accounting treatment for each transaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute the complete AP process accurately and promptly, encompassing entry, review, approval, and payment of invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card payments.
• Ensure correct allocation of invoice expenses to GL accounts, including prepaid expenses and fixed assets, with accurate amortization and depreciation schedules, departmental, and project assignments.
• Maintain an accurate audit trail for all accounts payable transactions.
• Oversee the authorization of fixed assets acquisitions, recording of invoices, and timely payments, ensuring correct accounting entries are made by month end.

Update the fixed asset schedule with all pertinent information.

• Prepare journal entries, conduct analyses, and reconcile accounts, contributing to monthly close processes.
• Collaborate with vendors to address invoice and payment-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Provide support to team members across various functions, including accounts receivable and invoice processing, as necessary.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts payable roles within a fine-tech or related industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
