Senior Data Engineer
Were seeking a talented data expert to join our client in the miningand metals industry for an exciting 4month contract with thepotential for extension.
In this role youll dive into largescaledata challenges working on cuttingedge analytics to drive smarterdecisionmaking and improve business operations.
Youll enjoy aflexible work setup with 35 hours per week and two days in theMontr al office. English is required and bilingual proficiency inFrench is aplus.
Whatis in it foryou :
Salaried : $93 to $102 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate : $103 to $109 perhour.
4monthcontract.
Fulltime position : 35hours per week.
Hybrid work : 2days per week at the office.

Responsibilities :
Design build and integrate data from various resources to managelarge datasets for datascientists
Engineer datapipelines from source systems to predictivemodels
Apply best practices insoftware engineering to extend Machine Learning (ML) prototypesinto fully functional products
Develop and implement GenAIsolutions
Mentor and coach juniorteam members on project tasks
Ensure the highest quality assurance and control for all dataanalytics products
Shareintellectual property and developments through GitHub to promoteteam learning and futureimprovements
Engage with clientsand stakeholders to build understanding and use of data analyticssolutions
Provide training andsupport for deploying and maintaining analyticsproducts
Whatyou will need tosucceed :
Master s degree in software engineering computer science orequivalent professionalexperience.
5 years of experiencein data engineering preferably using agilemethodologies.
AWS or Azurecertifications are an asset.
Proficiency in Linux workstation administration including workingwith AWS Session Manager and commandlineenvironments.
Experience withcloud platforms (AWS Azure).
Strong development skills in Python andSQL.
Experience with data storagetechnologies data modeling ETL tools and APIintegrations.
Containerizedapplication development and deployment experience (DockerDockerfiles Registry Management).
Knowledge of DevOps processes such as CI / CD automated testing andmonitoring dashboards.
Expertisein machine learning project implementation including libraries likePandas Numpy and TensorFlow.
Solution design experience for ML solutions focused on scalabilityperformance and fault tolerance
Proven experience working on GenAIsolutions.
French (spoken andwritten) is anasset.
