Data & Analytics - Senior Data Visualization Engineer

THE TEAM

The mission of the Analytics Department is to maximize the value of Aritzia's data by making it available, insightful and actionable to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a member of the Data & Analytics Department supporting Analytics Solutions in Digital, you will be part of the team that is responsible for the design and delivery of automated distributed and self-serve analytical interfaces such as reports and dashboards.

As the Sr. Data Visualization Engineer, you will combine your deep understanding of our digital experience, with your passion for data visualization and user experience to streamline, optimize, and innovate analytical interfaces that are easily absorbed, heavily adopted and drive high quality decision making across the business.

THE ROLE

As the Sr. Data Visualization Engineer you will :

• Build trustworthy, user-friendly and performant solutions that enable self serve insights, supporting a variety of Digital stakeholders
• Maximize the value of new and existing solutions by driving adoption and enhance solution integrity through proactive monitoring and support
• Lead out product management cycle, to effectively plan out and deliver new Data & Analytics products
• Champion the function of Analytics Solutions in the Digital Squad and within the broader Data & Analytics Department through mentorship, training and collaboration

• Proven skills, education, and / or applicable certifications in :
• Experience creating custom data visualizations and data experiences using modern tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Ability to lead the design process from ideation to polished design, using sketches, wireframes, UX scenarios and mockups to present ideas
• Experience developing solutions using Cloud technologies
• Provide scalable solutions for handling large data volumes, complex, and interactive reporting
• Experience in digital analytics or marketing analytics is an asset
• A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
• A sense of urgency and ability to prioritize important work
• An understanding and a passion for the industry in which we operate

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000-$150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
