• Location : work from home when not travelling
• Travel : 90-95 % across North America (US, Canada); extensive overnight travel
• Client base : Toronto, Mississauga Brampton, Markham, Scarborough, Belleville, KW area, BC, AB
• Total Compensation : CAD 100K -150K ;
• Base : 80K-95K + paid OT after 8 hours; Saturday 1.5 times; Sunday 2.0; Paid travel time + car allowance; gas reimbursement;

Our client is a global OEM- equipment manufacturer of large sized automated high-speed packaging / printing / labelling / converting / conveyor type equipment and have a job open for Mechanical Field Service Technician Maintenance Mechanic / Licensed / Non licensed Millwright 433a.

This role involves travel across North America to Troubleshoot, Repair, Service, Upgrade, Install, Commission high speed packaging converting printing type equipment at the customer site .

The candidate can be based in either Toronto Brampton Mississauga Markham Richmond Hill, ON, Ottawa, ON area and will be required to travel 90% of the times to customer sites across GTA, Canada and US.

Overnight travel is involved . You could be also on longer assignments gone for 12 days at a stretch and back home very alternate weekend.

All candidates MUST have Canadian passports ( No exceptions) as US work permits will be granted to work with US customers.

This requires clear criminal check.

The Mechanical Field Service Technician Maintenance Mechanic will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, PM, of high-speed packaging equipment like conveyors, labelers, packers, feeders, case erectors, case packers, and similar .

Strong experience in troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical ( all MUST have ) , Troubleshooting and familiarity with basic electrical.

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Licensed Millwrights 433a / Non licensed maintenance Mechanics highly preferred.

Excellent English communication skills, customer facing skills - MUST); ability to travel without visa restrictions (MUST);

able to live at customer location for 2 weeks -MUST; Ability to travel 90% -MUST.

Candidates with Canadian passports highly preferred as this job required US work permit . Criminal Check / back check will be performed for visa purposes.
