Electroneurophysiology Tech B - Electroneurophysiology Lab
About the Opportunity
Under minimal direction and in collaboration with the manager, program coordinator, and medical directors, the Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technologist is responsible for performing and evaluating Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings, video EEG Telemetry monitoring, Nerve Conduction Studies (EMG) and / or Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.
The Technologist also maintains and cleans equipment used within the laboratory.
The Technologist facilitates communication among health care professionals (for example, biomedical engineering staff, physicians, nurses and unit clerks).
Participates in the education and training of student technologists, neurology residents and other medical personnel. Assist with the planning and implementation of research and clinical protocols.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following :
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Registration or eligibility with the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC) and the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalography Technologists (CBRET)
- Completion of the EEG and EMG training programs required
- If there are no qualified candidates for a Tech B position, consideration will be given to those who meet Tech A qualifications
- Completion of either EEG or EMG training program required
- Registration or eligibility with the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC) and / or the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalography Technologists (CBRET)
- Proficient in all techniques required for electroneurophysiology testing
- Knowledge of normal neurophysiology, anatomy and pathological states
- Skilled in the recording and analysis of both surface and invasive EEG recording
- Familiarity with Natus Neuroworks EEG recording system and / or the Mayo Clinic protocols for nerve conduction studies considered an asset
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent-Full time, % FTE, 75 hours biweekly
Compensation and Incentives
$34.24 - $39.96 Hourly
