Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Northwest British Columbia.
The APM is responsible for providing leadership, training, and guidance to the uniformed guarding personnel who serve in a variety of security positions. The position monitors, coordinates, and executes a wide variety of operational tasks and projects and has a thorough working knowledge of all business functions, policies, and best practices on the project.

Duties Include :
Hiring, training, mentoring, and leading guarding personnel in various roles on the project
Leading, coordinating, and completing projects within specific timeframes
Maintaining proficiency in the operation of security systems, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and metal detection
Conducting sensitive and confidential investigations on behalf of SSRG
Managing employee performance, issuing disciplinary notices, and implementing corrective action plans as needed
Planning, developing, and leading emergency response exercises and fulfilling emergency response roles as required
Working collaboratively across all internal business lines (Health & Safety, Human Resources, Payroll and Finance, IT, etc.) to ensure service excellence
Participating in regular briefings and meetings with SSRG executives
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security management or law enforcement
- Advanced Security Training (AST) certification
- Post-secondary education; Bachelor's degree preferred
- A valid BC Security License (applicants from outside of BC must obtain)
- Basic Level 1 First Aid certification
- An in-depth knowledge of security operations
- Ability to de-escalate confrontation and emotionally charged situations
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- The ability to interpret and apply policy and various levels of legislation
- Must reside in or near cities of Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, Prince George and Smithers
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Possess Crisis Intervention and De-escalation certificate (CPKN) is an asset
