Operations Manager

Your Role
As the Operations Manager you are responsible for directing the daily activities of this multi-client warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of manpower, equipment and space for the safe, high-quality and productive delivery of third-party logistics services to the client.
You will report directly to the Distribution Center Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained, and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success
- Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded
- Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment)
- Analyze process improvements and rollout of the agreed next steps
- Establishes a clear communication channel between our internal and external stakeholders
- Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques, drive cost-saving initiatives, and track savings
- You will assist Distribution Center Manager to establish and ensure the execution of operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and inventory accuracy, and driving active safety programs
- Ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met
- Comply with GMP requirements as applicable to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met.

Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education
- 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing distribution center environment is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a site leadership role (50+ indirect reports)
- Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, GMP, ISO, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma, etc.);
- Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint
- 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of technical processes related to standard warehouse equipment and applications such as racking, WMS systems and MHE
