Job Description

You’ll play a key role in supporting the coordinated preparation and presentation of a high-quality shopping experience for our customers. This position contributes to the success of the team through craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. All responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way, ensuring a respectful and service-focused approach to colleagues, customers, and partners. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

• Prepare components and finished units through sanding and staining to achieve a clean, high-quality finish.
• Train on smaller displays from assembly to completion.
• Support the Millwork team with larger cabinet and display assemblies, assisting with on-site installations as required.
• Prepare completed work for safe handling, transport, and delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work and storage environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures, with particular attention to proper equipment use, machine safety, and personal protective equipment.
• Support the team with other related duties as assigned on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for food retailing and a people-first approach to work.
• Previous experience in a related industry is typically required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established directives.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, or handling heavy materials.
• Demonstrated commitment to high standards of cleanliness and workplace organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
