Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and operate CCTV to identify, observe, and deter individuals from committing external theft.
- Adhere to all laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search, seizure, and preservation of evidence.
- Prepare reports related to theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company in any criminal or civil case to which the agent is summoned.
- Provide new hire and continuous employee training to maintain store loss prevention awareness.
Operations
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections; communicate findings to store leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Assist store leadership with inventory preparation and processing.
- Partner with stores and DLP Manager in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans.
- Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/hours:
- Full Time: 30‑40 hrs/week
- Part Time: 16‑20 hrs/week
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements.
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel is desirable.
- A high‑school graduate or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and multiple locations within a market.
Physical Requirements
- Work in a fragrance‑filled environment.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Bend and stretch to stock shelves.
Compensation
The compensation ranges between CAD$19.70 - CAD$23.20/hr. You may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus opportunities, a competitive benefits program, and robust learning and development initiatives.
