Based in Sturgeon County, Alberta, Guardian provides direct chemical, equipment, and specialized service technologists to a large variety of primary and secondary industries throughout Canada, the USA, and internationally.

You'll keep equipment maintenance and calibration up to date, ensuring accurate and reliable test results throughout the manufacturing process.

Additionally, you'll conduct efficient and timely sample analysis, contributing to the prompt identification of any deviations or issues.

Your role will involve promoting a cooperative teamwork and attitude within the laboratory, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment where each member's strengths are utilized optimally.

Furthermore, you'll provide effective support to Product Development Staff and Sales Representatives. What you will do Responsible for sample analysis, prioritization, and training of lab staff for Water Treatment samples (glycol, water, scale, brines, and corrosion coupons).

Sample analysis for Industrial field samples. Support to quality control including perform and document quality control procedures on raw materials, finished goods, and reagents.

Support calibration and maintenance on laboratory equipment, and monthly testing. Serve as a technical resource and maintain support for Sales Representatives and all laboratory activities.

Completion of product set-up documentation in compliance with Guardian requirements, including compliance activities. What you will bring : Be a recent graduate with a Diploma in Chemical Technology / Bachelor’s level degree in Chemistry.

Experience in sample analysis, procedure writing and problem solving. Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with PowerApps and SharePoint lists considered an asset.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.

Be able to legally work in Canada. Have a valid driver’s license. Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Self-starter with the ability to get multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines done within a workday. A strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to be in a hands-on role.

Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
