Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Development develops global and targeted strategies that are aligned with business needs.

He / she is responsible for managing talent attraction, integration and retention and skills development. The leader will also work closely with the VP HR on specific talent development projects such as succession planning and development.

The incumbent supervises a recruiter and an HR coordinator.

As a Manager, Talent Acquisition and Development , your day-to-day responsibilities include :

Talent acquisition :

  • Develop innovative recruitment strategies based on current business needs and best practices, and translate them into concrete measures, initiatives and programs ;
  • Ensure the company's visibility on the job market (postings, social networks, participation in job fairs, etc.) and measure the impact of the campaigns implemented ;
  • Develop HR marketing strategies, employer branding, etc. ;
  • Participate in the budget review under his / her responsibility and is responsible for controlling expenses and making the required follow-ups ;
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of relationships with strategic partners (recruitment firms, educational institutions, associations, etc.
  • for the recruitment of employees, new graduates and interns ;
  • Understand, improve and standardize recruitment processes in collaboration with the HR Business Partners team ;
  • Manage requisitions and the recruitment platform (Vidcruiter) ;
  • Develop and track monthly and annual key performance indicators for recruitment and retention activities : time to hire, quality of hire, costs, efficiency, etc ;
  • Improve the onboarding process for new employees to ensure a positive employee experience from the moment they join the company .

Talent development :

  • Participate in redefining the manager development strategy ;
  • Improve the performance management process (communication, training, development of tools) and ensure deployment throughout the organization in collaboration with the PARHs ;
  • Act as the main administrator of the LMS training management system (Synapse) and collaborate with the coordinator, technical training requirements and the Maerix supplier to improve the use of the Synapse system ;
  • Document in the LMS, other training activities completed outside the training management system e.g. on Sharepoint and other training platforms :
  • Manage requests for approval of external training (development of specific non-technical skills) ;
  • Produce various reports on training provided (Law 90) ;
  • Develop and monitor monthly / annual key indicators related to training activities ;
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to training, when required ;
  • Actively participate in the improvement of training processes ;
  • Member of the francization committee to ensure that the organization meets the requirements of the Office Québécois de la Langue Française and responsible for the deployment of French courses related to the corporate francization program.

To join our team, you must hold :

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or organizational development ;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in talent acquisition and management of training and development activities ;
  • Experience in organizational development, HR process optimization and workforce training and development ;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required - in Aerospace (asset) ;
  • Must be a CHRP member ;
  • Ability to operationalize a vision ;
  • Ability to show initiative and a high degree of autonomy ;
  • Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously ;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ;
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly ;
  • Thoroughness and rigor ;
  • Customer-oriented ;
  • Strong team spirit ;
  • Bilingualism required (French-English) to serve all Montreal customers, as well as those in Kanata and Sugar Grove when necessary ;
  • Proficiency with recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn and Vidcruiter, and IT skills (HRIS, LMS) ;
  • Solid command of the Office suite, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
