What You Will Do

Join our experimental team and contribute to cutting-edge surface science research through :

Microscope & Equipment Operation

• Operate Scanning Probe Microscopes (SPM) primarily qPlus AFM and STM.
• Use additional tools like Field Ion Microscopes XPS mass spectrometry and MBE systems.
• Work in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) and cryogenic conditions using vacuum chambers and suitcases UHV pumps bakeout equipment liquid nitrogen and helium and helium recovery equipment.

Reporting & Communication

Cryogen Handling

Qualifications : Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

Must have :

Experience with Scanning Tunneling Microscopy or Atomic Force Microscopy (qPlus or frequency modulation non-contact AFM)

Nice to have :

Experience with X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

Programming abilities with Python and LabView are a plus

Soft Skills and Characteristics
